This workshop session was organised by PIARC Committee TC1.4 “Planning the Resilience of Road Networks – Climate Change and Other Hazards”.
It dealt with the contents, updates and improvements to the Climate Change Adaptation Framework – 2023 version, presenting the work accomplished by the Committee while also collecting input from participants through their active involvement.
On the agenda:
- overview of FW2023 (content, structure, gaps)
- a case study to check and illustrate the applicability of FW2023
- feedback on FW2023, improvement area targets and options
- open discussion on additional opportunities for improvement, as well as suggestions and challenges on how to address the identified targets and options
This session informed and inspired the forward work programme of PIARC TC1.4 on delivering an improved Adaptation Framework.
