PIARC has organized an international call for individual papers, as for each World Congress on Road Winter Service, Road Resilience and Decarbonisation. 

  1. Winter Service theme - Themes 1 to 8
  2. Resilience theme - Themes 9 to 15
  3. Resilience & Decarbonisation theme - Themes 16 to 17
  4. Decarbonisation theme - Themes 18 to 23

Contributions were invited on 23 specific topics, on three themes: Winter Service, Resilience, Decarbonisation. The aim is to enrich and broaden the work and reflections of PIARC Technical Committees. The proposed communications were thoroughly evaluated by the Technical Committees and Task forces.

This call was one of the most successful ever for a PIARC Winter Congress, with 432 abstracts from 65 countries and over 300 papers accepted.


The authors of the accepted articles are all invited to make a presentation at the poster sessions.
In addition, the best ones are invited to make a presentation during one of the technical sessions.
