This keynote session brought together two complementary perspectives on the future of road electrification in Europe, with a particular focus on Italy. The first presentation, Future Scenarios of Road Electrification in Europe and in Italy, explored forward-looking pathways, trends, and strategic scenarios shaping the transition to electric road transport.
The second presentation, Pre-normative Research on Transport Electrification at the Joint Research Centre of Europe, provided an overview of the Joint Research Centre’s research activities in electromobility and examined how emerging evidence was informing and shaping the European legislative and regulatory framework.
Together, these presentations offered participants a strategic and evidence-based view of the technological, policy, and research dimensions driving the electrification of road transport.
