The session aimed to present and discuss statistical indicators that enabled the measurement of infrastructure and traffic evolution over time. It was divided into two parts.
First part:
Two technical presentations were delivered.
- Morocco presented a study on traffic density and its impact on infrastructure over the years, emphasizing the importance of maintenance as a key factor in infrastructure sustainability.
- Argentina presented its research on the level of service, an indicator developed to assess the evolution of traffic conditions and infrastructure capacity.
Second part:
A round-table discussion followed, focusing on the selection, definition, and implementation of key indicators, with the aim of enhancing global understanding and representativeness of road infrastructures.
